Countryside Senior Living of Spring is a resident-centered assisted living and Dementia Care community. We provide a home-like environment for seniors who need assistance with normal activity of daily living. Our well-trained staff are specialized in memory-related diseases and offer assistance in all areas of care.

A long-term care ombudsman helps residents of a nursing facility and residents of an assisted living facility resolve complaints. Help provided by an ombudsman is confidential and free of charge. To speak with an ombudsman, a person may call the toll-free number, 1-800-252-2412.

Meet Shanika Bray, Executive Director of Countryside Senior Living in Spring, TX.

Hi, my name is Shanika Bray. I am the Executive Director and Resident Care Nurse for Countryside Senior Living in Spring.

Since starting my healthcare career about 17 years ago, I have worked in multiple settings with various populations. I’ve held the titles of certified nursing assistant, PCT, Phlebotomist, charge nurse, Certified dementia practitioner, etc. Since finishing school, the geriatrics community has been a constant part of my life. Healthcare has become my passion, and I am incredibly passionate about what I do for a living every day. Over a year ago, I started with Countryside and have grown to make lasting connections with my residents and staff. Now with my new title, I hope to be able to impact the community in an even more positive way.

With my new title of Executive Director, I plan to continue advocating for our residents. I always have an open door for my family members and the Seniors for any comments, concerns, and updates.

Our mission here is to serve seniors and their families through exceptional care, promote independence, and always place residents’ safety as the top priority. Our goal is to make our atmosphere home-like, friendly, and welcoming. I’ve had a great experience here at Countryside Senior Living, and I expect nothing but great experiences to continue. I am excited to be a part of such a fantastic team that genuinely wants nothing but the best for the residents. I can’t wait to continue my relationships with the families and staff.

Wow, what a beautiful place! it feels just like home in a country setting. it smells clean, the staff are so friendly, and the director is so kind and knowledgable! the residents are always busy doing something, their food is great, and i can't say enough great things!!! 10/10 would leave my parents in their care!

Since the new management took over, my mom's experience at this memory care facility has significantly improved. The staff is attentive, communicates regularly about her needs, and keeps me updated on her well-being. It gives me peace of mind knowing she’s in good hands.

The leadership and team is absolutely amazing! Kind, considerate and compassionate. This community was one of the very first in the Houston and surrounding areas to implement The Grand Baby Project; a nonprofit that delivers therapy dolls to those living w dementia and also trains caregivers on the benefits and engagement activities of this innovative program. Well done!

After having issues and concerns with my father’s medical care at his previous assisted living facility, I feel so very thankful that we happened to drive by Countryside while on the way to tour another facility. Sandy and her staff have truly been a blessing to our family.
