We provide a home-like environment for seniors who need assistance with normal activity of daily living. Our well-trained staff are specialized in memory-related diseases and offer assistance in all areas of care.

Meet Ashley Rios, Executive Director of Countryside Senior Living in Jacksonville, TX.

Hey there! My name is Ashley Rios and I’m the Administrator for Countryside Senior Living in Jacksonville, Texas.

My passion for the senior population began during my youth, when my Maw Maw, who was a nurse, would take me around with her to visit home health and nursing home patients. I formed bonds with them as I pretended to pass their meds, played bowling with two-liter soda bottles, shared a holiday meal, or did crafts. Nursing home hallways quickly became my home away from home, and I soon had dozens of honorary grandparents!

As I got older, I would volunteer my free time and play dominos or paint nails with the residents in my hometown. Seeing them smile and listening to their stories brought me indescribable joy, and I believe it led me down the path I’ve since taken with my career. I’ve spent the better part of the last decade serving seniors through various administrative roles with geriatric mental health, home health, and skilled nursing companies.

It is an honor to be in a position where I can advocate for older adults and ensure they’re treated with dignity and respect in a place that feels like “home.” Change is hard for anyone, especially those that must come to terms with losing some of their independence and self-sufficiency. My goal is to help them through some of life’s toughest transitions and assist them in any capacity needed.

In my personal life, I am a proud momma and servant of the Lord. I love learning about different topics, reading my Bible, watching my kiddos play sports, writing, and traveling. I believe that almost everything is made better with a good quality writing pen and a great mascara!
